May 7, 2024 – Char-Em Special Election
Ballot applications and ballots for those on the permanent ballot list will be mailed by March 20, 2024. If you would like to receive an absentee ballot, you can apply online at Michigan.gov/Vote or you can request it by calling Christy Kozlowski, Clerk at 734-730-1746.
This is a local, special school election and no early voting is available.

Intermediate School District
Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School District Special Education Millage Proposal
This proposal will allow the intermediate school district to continue to levy special education millage previously approved by the electors.
Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property in Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School District, Michigan, be increased by 1.4606 mills ($1.4606 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of 4 years, 2024 to 2027, inclusive, to provide funds for the education of students with a disability; the estimate of the revenue the intermediate school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2024 is approximately $10,294,232 from local property taxes authorized herein (this replaces millage that expired with the 2023 tax levy)?

Notice is hereby given by resolution of the Cheboygan Board of Commissioners under authority granted in Public Act 81 of 2023, that the location of the early voting site for all federal and statewide election dates will be as the following.

All qualified electors in Burt Township have the right to mark a ballot and deposit the ballot in a tabulator beginning the second Saturday before an election and ending the Sunday before the election, and any additional days prior to the second Saturday before an election that the Burt Township Board designates. Early voting will be available at the early voting site for the following hours:
