Election Information

Burt Township elections are held at the Burt Township Hall. For an absentee ballot, contact the clerk, Christy Kozlowski at 734-730-1746.

All voters registered in Michigan are eligible to vote absentee. They can apply online at Michigan.gov/Vote or print an application form from the site and mail, email or hand deliver it to their local clerk.

Tuesday, November 5, 2024 – 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. GENERAL ELECTION

Ballots were delayed and delivered to the clerk the evening of 10/3/2024. Absent ballots are being prepped and will be delivered to the post office on 10/4/2024.

ESTABLISHMENT OF EARLY VOTING SITE

To All Qualified Electors in Burt Township

Notice is hereby given by resolution of the Cheboygan Board of Commissioners under authority granted in Public Act 81 of 2023, that the location of the early voting site for all federal and statewide election dates will be as the following.

All qualified electors in Burt Township have the right to mark a ballot and deposit the ballot in a tabulator beginning the second Saturday before an election and ending the Sunday before the election, and any additional days prior to the second Saturday before an election that the Burt Township Board designates. Early voting will be available at the early voting site for the following hours:

BURT TOWNSHIP ELECTION COMMISSION MEETING NOTICE

September 5, 2024 – 6:45pm

 

The Burt Township Election Commission will hold a meeting on September 5, 2024 at 6:45 pm at the Burt Township Hall, 7029 Birchwood Road, Cheboygan, Michigan.  The purpose of this meeting is to:

  • To appoint the Precinct Inspectors for the General Election on November 5, 2024
  • To approve the ballots for the General Election on November 5, 2024
  • To delegate certain Election Commission Duties to the local Clerk
